Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-10-14

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and Ștefan-Andrei Rusie, who operates Financio ("we"). By creating an account or using Financio you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Apple EULA) also applies. If it conflicts with these terms on the use of the app itself, the Apple EULA prevails.

2. What the app is

Financio helps you record and understand your own money. It is not financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Figures depend on what you enter; exchange rates, estimates and summaries are indicative and may be wrong or out of date.

3. Your account

You must be at least 16. Give correct information, keep your password secret, and tell us if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person should not share an account with others; use Family Mode to share with your household.

4. Plans and subscriptions

The Standard plan is free, with the limits described in the app. Premium and the Family add-on are optional paid features bought through the App Store; the price and billing period are shown before you buy.

Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically at the same length and price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation and again at each renewal. A plan may start with a free trial; if you do not cancel before it ends, it becomes a paid plan. A lifetime plan is a one-time purchase.

You manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings (Settings > your name > Subscriptions). Deleting the app or your Financio account does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under its rules.

If a paid plan ends, your data stays yours and stays in the app, but features and limits go back to those of the Standard plan.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's data or accounts, to disrupt, overload or probe the server, to copy or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or to use it for anything unlawful. Automated access outside the app is not allowed.

6. What you post

Your finance data stays yours; you allow us to process it only to run the app for you, as the Privacy Policy describes.

What you post in the Feedback section (titles, descriptions, photos, comments) is visible to other users with your nickname. Post only what you have the right to share, nothing unlawful, abusive or misleading, and no personal or financial details. You give us a free licence to use your suggestions and reports to improve Financio, without owing you anything for them. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

7. Ownership

Financio, its design, name, logo and code belong to us or our licensors. We license you the app for your own personal use; we do not sell it to you.

8. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is and as available. It may be unavailable during maintenance or because of events we do not control, and features, limits and prices may change; we will tell you about significant changes, and a price change never applies to a subscription period you have already paid for. We back up the data, but you should also export a copy yourself from time to time.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, or for decisions you make based on the figures shown. Our total liability for a claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or to a small fixed sum if you paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example for fraud, intent, gross negligence, or death or personal injury) or the rights you have by law as a consumer.

10. Ending your use

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where that is reasonable. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, liability, governing law) continue after the account ends.

11. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, for maintenance or support, or for any warranty beyond what the Apple EULA says, and it is not the party to handle claims about the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the Apple EULA and may enforce it against you.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without taking away the protection that the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live gives you. If a dispute cannot be settled by talking, the courts of Romania have jurisdiction, unless mandatory law gives you the right to go to the courts of your own country.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. For significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email; if you keep using the app after a change takes effect, you accept it, and if you do not agree you can delete your account.
